Project Overview

Trenching is a mineral exploration method in which long, narrow excavations (trenches) are dug through soil and weathered material to expose the underlying bedrock. This allows geologists to directly observe rock types, geological structures, and any visible mineralization that may indicate the presence of an ore deposit. Trenches are commonly excavated perpendicular to the expected trend of the mineralized zone.
